But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14).
What is the Kingdom of Heaven? From our last conversation, it was discovered that when one intentionally chooses to cross the “bridge”, he or she enters into a new realm of existence, a new reality. While yet walking on earth in a physical body, the inner person or being is tapping into the fullness of God on a spiritual plane. His or her soul is connected with God’s Spirit and the psyche, or mind, transforms into the mind of Christ.
There’s an anointing that is poured over the conscience or the “head” of the one who lets Jesus live inside his or her heart. The great King David expressed this in his Psalm 23:5b – You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. This anointing is magnified, runs over, as the soul is cleansed every day in the Word of God and in the blood of Jesus and in the testimony of how he or she converted from walking in the flesh to dancing in the Spirit.
Romans 8 defines the realms the human being lives in as of the flesh or as in the Spirit. The Spirit is the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of God dwelling in heaven. The mind connected in Christ is made aware of or is conscious of things that pertain to the Kingdom of Heaven and the heavenly culture or lifestyle. After reading aloud Romans 8, study Matthew Chapters 5, 6, and 7 for what is the Kingdom of Heaven culture and lifestyle.
In the Wholistic Christ-Centered methodology of imparting or sharing knowledge, information is delivered by experiential learning. Learning is making what you are taught useful, as well as making practical use of what you are taught. As the old adage (which never grows old) says, “Experience is the best teacher.” Herein the constructivist perspective becomes a foundational approach with a view that knowledge is often personal and that the human being constructs knowledge and meaning through experience, or through experiential learning. Experiential learning explains how people learn from their experiences and subsequent reflections about their experiences.
The role of the Mentor-Teacher is critical in imparting knowledge to young people in that he or she must ‘look’ at teaching and learning as a journey or process wherein a learner constructs meaning from experience and interaction with others; and the Mentor-Teacher’s role is to provide meaningful experiences for learners. This is called constructivism, and when actively applied in the teaching and learning process, the psyche, the mind, the soul of the participant gains knowledge, or a ‘knowing’ through the experience(s) he or she has had and after reflecting or meditating on “the lessons learned by going through this experience.”
It’s not enough to teach from books, including the Book of Life, the Holy Bible, but a learner must experience the Word of God and how it works in every day life, how it works through struggles and challenges, and how it works toward building a lifetime of victorious living unto an abundant life. In the realm of the Spirit, there is access to the secrets or mysteries of life which guide a person into which choices to make, which path to take, and what to do in every situation he or she may encounter on this earthly realm.
Mentor-Teachers must help a young soul learner to take what God’s gives each one of us through His Word, and make practical use of it. This is experiential learning. This is life’s classroom where lessons learned can be applied in the home, the school, and church with “passing” results in ‘flying colors’! The lessons gained from the application of God’s Word is assurance that Christ is alive, and that Christianity is not a mere religion, but a realm in which humankind can grow up, or mature, in the Spiritual realm of God.
Experiences here on earth must parallel what is the will for their lives as it is in heaven so that young souls can learn what is the Kingdom of Heaven. The video viewed in this blog is a culmination of the Sweet Jesus Christian Camp held in the Western part of the Ashanti Region by the Assemblies of God Children’s Ministry. Over 1000 young soul learners and their Mentor-Teachers gathered on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and experienced the power of Holy Spirit Baptism, of taking a pledge of Purity, of competing in both Bible Quiz on the Book of John, chapters 1-5 and expressing their talents in the Let It Shine Talent competition.
These souls also gained career knowledge by taking an excursion to the University Prempeh II Library to meet the staff of KNUST who modeled for them the process of identifying their life’s purpose and matching the career to develop it.
With visitation by other special guests, including Rev. Dr. Kate Love Lutterodt, author and clinical pastoral counselor (1), they were engaged in sorting out what truly matters when it comes to issues of the flesh and how to present their bodies as a living sacrifice unto the Lord who sacrificed His own body and blood for them.
But most important of all was the interaction with others whose minds were connected in Christ, or constructed in like-mind, that the children expressed upon reflection: “I felt comfortable here, free!” “Can we come back here and do this again?” “I loved it!”
Yes, instruction must take many forms with the intent to make the learners never forget what is the Kingdom of Heaven by taking them through unforgettable heavenly experiences.
If you would like to host a Camp for your young souls, and need any assistance for preparations towards it, kindly contact us. We also provide materials for imparting the Word of God in creative and positively memorable ways.
These materials will be made available at our upcoming Mentor-Teacher Interactive Training Fellowship as advertised below.
